One Week SAHM- Day 6 (26/04/09)

On Sunday morning, I brought Amanda over to my mum's place as she will be cooking Thunder Rice! My all time favourite as I am a Hakka. Some relatives and my mum's friend will be coming over for a visit as they have just shifted. It was extremely hot. Although Amanda and I bathed before going out, we were both sweating away when we reached there. My relative brought a little girl over as well. She is my cousin's daughter who is 2 to 3 months older. Amanda is almost as tall as her but then Amanda is definitely more "BA" or meaty than her. My mum's friend thought Amanda is the older one! But Amanda had fun playing with her. Its cute seeing two babies interacting with each other. They all have a taste of the Thunder Rice and they loved it. My little sis noticed that Amanda will pull and scratched Adult's face but not towards other babies' her age. Strange ya?

Daddy joined us in the evening for home cooked dinner before heading home. Its a "starry night". I was quite sad to see Chow Choo Meng as he limped on stage. I really hoped he can get well soon. Life is really unpredictable. Must always appreciate and treasure what you have now and enjoy it cos you will never know what will happen tomorrow.

One Week SAHM- Day 5 (25/04/09)

Actually normally Sat and Sun, I am the one looking after Amanda. Anyway, I will just consider this Sat and Sun as my SAHM week. Amanda had class on Sat so I woke up really early to prepare her meals. I was not sure if we would be out the whole day, hence I cooked more porridge for her lunch and dinner. It was simple meal of carrot, cauliflower plus minced meat porridge cooked with pork ribs stock. But this time, I added a drop of soya sauce and a drop of seame oil to marinate the minced meat.
First to arrive at the class. Oh today has more classmates.I guess the additional 2 are on trial class.

Running around the centre

Playing with the toy there while waiting for lesson to start
For the first half of the lesson, it was a one to one class. Nobody turned up! It was supposed to be almost full! But halfway through, two more joined the class. I was pleased with her that day. She completed all the tasks in this lesson and was really attentive. I guess she really enjoyed the lesson conducted by Tomoko Sensei.
After class, we proceeded to Tan Tock Seng to visit Amanda's great grandfather. She had her lunch at the Kopitiam there. The porridge had become sort of dry like moist rice. But she finished all that I had scooped for her and very fast too! Good girl that day.
Had a taste of the Mr Bean soya bean ice-cream. She loves it and cried when her daddy ate the last mouth. haha

Intially, Daddy wanted to go to Marina Barrage but I thought its better to head home as

1. Amanda was sleepy already.

2. It was extremely hot.

It was a right choice as everyone was tired especially in this kind of horrible climate. Dinner for Amanda was the same porridge, but I added some spinach and added more hot water. She ate quite a lot! I guessed its the seasoning that make a difference.

And oh yes, she let me clipped her hair too! I guessed she did not know the clip was there. hee. So overall, Amanda has been a really good girl that day!

One Week SAHM- Day 4 (24/04/09)

Friday, I decided to bring Amanda over to my mum's place. My little sister was at home that day as she had no school. We wanted to go to Sembawang shopping centre in the evening to have some "WATER FUN" at the splash park.
To my surprise, everyone was home! My mum and second sis all on half day MC haha. We had a sumptous lunch which was cooked by my mum. Amanda's lunch was french bean and cauli flower porridge cooked with chicken fillet and pork rib stock. Unfortunately, its not to Miss Amanda's taste. It smelled good but was pretty tasteless actually. I wonder why. So she ended up having milk.
Evening time, we headed to Sembawang Shopping Centre. But to my dismay, there is technical fault and there was no water sprays that day! So disappointed. Nevertheless, Amanda still roam around the park for a while.
Trying to climb up

Spinning around

Yeah fun slide!

Not only was there no water at the splash park, we realised some shops also did have air con and it was extremely stuffy in such a hot weather. Dinner was settled at the foodcourt there before we headed home. I must say, the shppping centre was pretty quiet on a week day. The foodcourt was only about half full on a friday evening. But I think its good if u want to avoid the crowd.

One Week SAHM- Day 3 (23/04/09)

Amanda's daily routine is pretty fixed. Two solids intake, 3 milk feeds and two naps in a normal day.

In the morning, I let Amanda try to self feed herself. In fact, its actually messing around with a bowl of cereal. Oh my god, its really super messy! Luckily I laid newspapers all around. But I think she had fun!

Playing in her play area

Interested in the box of cereals which was meant for my breakfast

Recently, she loves to play with this laptop. This laptop was actually bought when she was about two months old haha.

Amanda's lunch. Macaroni soup! She finished almost all!
In the evening when Daddy was home, we had our dinner at home before heading to Ang Mo Kio Hub for a walk. Dinner that evening for Amanda was radish carrot soup with rice and steamed fish.

In the lift and at letter box area when we were on our way out to AMK Hub

One Week SAHM- Day 2 (22/04/09)

Day 2 : My little sister visited us in the morning. Both of them went for a swim in the baby pool. I can't get into the pool yet due to lasik. Amanda's feet can actually reach the bottom of the baby pool now!

Amanda getting ready to go for a swim
Can we go already?

Can't wait to get into the pool!

Amanda in the new wave rider! But then she did not really like it. Can only stay in there for a short while. Haizzz.

A refreshed and visibly darker Amanda!

The three of us have fish, tofu and tomato porridge for lunch! Added silver fish this round instead of ikan bilis to boil with rice. We all love it.

That afternoon, Amanda had a good sleep and I was able to do some laundry and prepare food for her dinner and ours.
Dinner that night for Amanda was the same porridge as there were still quite a lot of leftover. Hence, I added some spinach to cook with the porridge and pan fried a piece of egg for her. She finished most of it and 1/4 of the egg. But haizzz, she vomitted again half an hour after dinner. Its the egg again! Must ask doc next time when she go for injection.

One Week SAHM- Day 1 (21/04/09)

Day 1: Daddy happened to be on leave. Hence, he decided to bring us to 1 Tampines, the new shopping mall!

Being leaving for 1 Tampines, Miss Kaypoh peeping at other people's letter box

The Day after Lasik

The day after my lasik, I still had to bring Amanda for her LNT class. As my vision was still blur although the tearing and discomfort has gone away, I must be careful in taking care of my eyes and to be careful that Amanda does not hit my in the eyes when I carry her.

As my hubby had to work, my very kind friend, Phyllis offered to pick us up and send us to Toa Payoh that morning. Thanks a lot pal, always "ma fan" you. After class, Amanda went home with MIL while i went for my eye checkup. Everything was fine.

In the evening, when hubby was back, we met up with my mum and sis and went for dinner before heading to Sembawang Shopping Centre. The Splash Park was cool! But as it was quite late when we went there, the water activities had stopped, but Amanda still enjoyed running all over the park. Will certainly bring her there again to have some "WATER FUN"!

Waiting impatiently for mummy to pack and get ready.

Went for a ride on the toy car

Another one of her favourite ride now. She loves going in. close the door, waves bye bye and drives off. haha.Within few seconds, she comes out again and the cycle repeats...

Running around while waiting for Uncle Bruce and Aunty Phyllis to come.

Was tired, and sat down to wait

Staring at Uncle Bruce during the ride
