Crying Amanda

I must blog this down. The other day, I was playing with Amanda on our bed. Suddenly, she accidentally hit my forehead with the book she was holding. I pretended to cry as if I was in pain. The next moment, I was shocked to see her face changed and she started to cry sadly and pitifully while stroking my forehead. I was amused while at the same time felt warm cos she seemed to feel heartpain for Mummy.
I told this incident to Daddy and this silly Daddy go and use her hand to let her hit his head and pretended to cry also. The same thing happended again.
Then I told this incident to my mum and sisters. They also did the same thing to her.
Poor Amanda.

To Tampines IKEA again

On Sunday, we went to Thomson to have Ampang Yong Tau Hoo before heading to IKEA Tampines again together with my mum and sisters. We wanted to look for a simple bookshelf and a sofa bed.

Amanda having fun testing out the sofas.

She enjoyed sitting in the baby chair here cos.... there is a pencil there and paper for her to scribble

She loves chasing the light on the floor everytime we visted IKEA

She loves the toy dog so much

Having fun at the children's "walk in wardrode"

4 Amandas?

Amanda in Birthday cake hat (left) and fruit basket hat (right)

We could not find any suitable shelf and sofa and proceeded to 1 Tampines .

Tricked Amanda into drinking her remaining milk with our Chendol straw.

*Boom Boom* at Tampines Mall

We ended our day at this restaurant which was featured in TV. Forgot the restaurant name but it is located in Sembawang . And it was really packed!

The soup, onion rings and chicken wings are great! But the fish and chips is too oily to my liking

The restless Amanda in the MRT.

Munching on a pear at JP foodcourt.

What is Amanda Up To These Days?

Been missing in action for a week. Well, mummy has been lazy again or basically there is nothing much for me to blog about cos it has been rather *peaceful* and I have been busy doing other things.
Just a little update here over the weekends. On Sat after LNT class, we met up with Phyllis and Bruce for a little *shopping* at woodlands food industrial area where there are plently of wholesalers for food there. We bought some cod fish, scallops, salmon balls and ice cream! Thereafter, we have lunch at the old Woodlands hawker centre. The fish soup was really yummy! But the weather was horrible.....

Amanda playing with Aunty Phyllis

On Sunday, I brought Amanda over to my mum's place in the morning as Daddy was working. Amanda was thrilled to see Coco (Dog) there. Coco is my auntie's family pet. She was left in the care of my youngest sis as they have gone on a short overseas trip. But the poor dog was obviously scared of Amanda and I am glad to declare that I have less phobia of Coco. No more screaming from me that is. haha

Obviously very thrilled to see Coco.

Monday morning swim

This morning, Daddy brought Amanda for a swim as it was his off day. Amanda loves to swim! The only problem is that she is getting real dark! Daddy just sent these pics to me over the email.

Weaning off the pacifier

Yesterday evening (Sunday), my mum's ex neighbour in Jurong came to visit her. She saw Amanda sucking on the pacifier and took it out from her mouth and pretended to throw it out of the window and told Amanda that her pacifier was taken away by the birds. That evening, when Amanda was asked where her pacifier was, she would give you a "no more" gesture with her hands. She gave the auntie an angry look when she was trying to sleep that evening but my mum managed to pat her to sleep in her arms. The auntie advised to wean off early and she had done so successfully with her two grandchildren. They would make noise intially and it will take like about a week for them to kick the habit.
I decided to give it a try as I find that Amanda seems to be more addicted to her pacifier these days. That night, she fussed around and wanted her pacifier but I told her "auntie threw it away remember? The bird bird took it away" She cried and screamed pitifully and keep saying "neh neh" for 1 hour! Daddy could even hear her cries downstairs even though I have closed all the windows. However, I managed to get her to sleep as she cried to bed. Who knows, in the middle of night she woke up again crying and screaming away for her pacifier. She cried so pitifully that I cried along with her. I could not bear to continue hearing her cry anymore and asked Daddy to give the pacifier to her.
Haizz really don't know what to do. Maybe next time I have to use the "chilli" method liao.

Salmon

On Sunday, I tried baking salmon fish for Amanda's dinner at my mum's place.
How it was done:-
1. wash the salmon and pat it dry
2. sprinkle some salt, coarse pepper and olive oil
3. put two slices of lemon on top
Baked for about 20 mins and its done! So easy. Also steamed some frozen vege (corn, green oeas and corn) to go along with it. Unfortunately, I forgot to take the pic.
It was really nice but alas... Amanda did not like the salmon. She had rice with water cress soup instead(that my mum cooked for our dinner) as well as the steamed green peas. Think she kind of like the peas. The salmon ended up in my and my sisters' tummy. We have come to a conclusion that Amanda prefers Chinese food from my various tries.
