Zoo Finally!!

Finally, we went to the zoo last month on 18th July 2010. Its Amanda's first trip there. We have been wanting to go for the longest time but the trip was always cancelled at the last minute. I was in fact quite excited about it.

However, on that morning, it started raining cats and dogs! We decided to still go ahead with the trip when the rain subsized and was only drizzling.

After the 1st animal show, we rushed to the second theater for another animal show by the sea animals.

She got excited at kids world when she saw the goats.

As Amanda was still coughing and having running nose, she could not play at the water area and she was really envious of the kids playing there.

At the end of the animal show, kids can take pictures with the dogs and there are bubbles. Kids love bubbles.

We only managed to cover part of the zoo before Amanda fell asleep. We did not see many animals that Amanda was familiar with. The trip was ok as Amanda was a little unwell and was not that excited throughout the trip. We will be back again some day.

After the lunch, we headed to Yishun for some carnival. Here's a pic of Amanda with the free fluffy candy floss with her dragon *tattoo*! She did not eat it all of cos. Its freaking sweet. Some passerbys requested to take a pic of her haha.

This morning...........

This morning after getting Amanda ready for school, I told her that Mummy is going off to work first and Ah Ma will bring her down to wait for her school bus later.

To my surprise, she said bye bye to me and waved to me and told me to buy rice haha. (Her Ah Ma has told her we are working so that we will have moneyto buy rice). On many occassions, she would whine and cry and refuse to let me go off first. As I was leaving, I saw her walked into MIL's room and informed her " Mummy 做工了" I felt so relieved and left the house.

While I was waiting for the lift, I heard loud screaming coming from the house and the next moment I heard the house door swung open. I thought to myself "Oh no not again" and popped my head to peek and saw father and daugther waving something at me and Amanda screaming" Mummy!!! Iphone!!!"

The blur mummy has forgotten to bring her Iphone and Amanda realised that and informed her father before running and screaming for me to come back and take it. hahaha

I felt so touched.

What is your name?

One day, I was alone with Amanda in the room. We have a short conversation.

Me: What is your name?

Amanda : Amanda!

Me: What is mummy's name?

Amanda: Wendyy!

Me: What is Papa's name?

Amanda: Porr Weeeeeee!

Amanda: What is Ah Ma's name?

Me : What do you think is Ah Ma's name?

There was a short pause and she sat there thinking before she answered loudly and confidently

"AH MA!"


and I burst into laughter!

Attending 2nd wedding dinner

This is the 2nd wedding dinner Amanda has ever attended. She could basically sit through the whole dinner with some occassional getting up and getting down and she ate all 9 courses! She does not look sick in the picture does she? In fact, she has been puking every meal the day before and hardly ate much that day, hence I was happy that she ate the food at the wedding dinner though I was also afraid she might puke again haha.

I think she actually enjoyed the dinner and event that night!

Seeing Doctor

Amanda has been having frequent flu and cough. It always come and go and it seems to go on forever. GP, TCM and PD, she has seen them all. After the last visit to our regular GP and a PD recommended by a fren, it is sort of concluded that she has sensitive airways plus she is building up her immunity since she has just started CC this year. The PD suggested it might be the other way round for number 2 in the family next time, meaning number 2 will fall sick more when he/she is a baby as there is older sibling around to spread the *virus* and by the time, he/she gets to Amanda's age, he/she will actually fall sick less.

Sigh, so I just have to learn to let it be if its not affecting her too much. Despite the running nose and cough, Amanda is still very active and lively.
