HOW CAN MUMMY MISS THIS OUT?

Its a MAJOR happening and I have actually forgotten to blog this down. How could I? haha but I think those who have been in contact with me will know that Amanda is officially off her pacifier two weeks ago! We finally managed to wean her off her *drug* but it has not been easy.

It all started one morning when we could not find her pacifier and we were in the rush to go out. I seeked her help in locating the pacifier for me but to no avail. She could not find it either. That day, she did not look for it or requested for her pacifier much to our surprise. Hence, we decided to take this opportunity to wean her off. It took 3 nights of crying (note= sleepless nights for us) to wean her off and I am glad we were able to hang on there and succeeded in doing so.It also helped that she knew that the pacifier was missing and not that we are trying to stop her from having it.

What a relief !

Procrastionation is bad!

I tell myself, I will post in my blog tonight, then tonight come, I will tell myself, I will do it tomorrow and so on and so forth and just like that its nearly 3 weeks since I last updated my blog!

Some updates on Amanda:-

1. She is super active (all toddlers are like that I supposed);

2. Really show her temper when she can't get what she wants (oh no terrible 2), but other than

those time, she is really a sweet baby;

3. Has turned dark (Thanks to her ah ma who brought her for swimming but never used sunblock on her);

4. Couple of ugly marks on her legs haizzz (Due to mosquitoes or bugs plus her itchy hand);

5. Has slimmed down recently (cos she is sick) but mummy is getting fatter;

6. Her vocab is fast expanding;

7. Enjoy reading book (with me of cos) still;

8. Been watching too much TV

Currently, Amanda is down with cough and flu and she has spread it to me. Its the worst cough and flu she ever had. Today she seems better. Cross my finger she will get well soon.

Ser Di Ya!

The other day when I reached home after work and was having my dinner. Daddy asked amanda to show mummy her new stunt. Daddy say "Hands behind your back!". Immediately, Amanda will put her hands behind her back and stay at attention. It was hilarious!

Seafood Lunch at JB 22/08/09

Sunday, we went JB again. This time we went in with SIL and her family plus my mum and little sis. We had seafood lunch which is directly opposite Sembawang in Singapore. There are quite a number of such seafood restaurants in JB at the sea (kelong like).

It was not too crowded during lunch. Hubby told us its packed at night. The weather was cooling too and it feel great looking out to the sea (though the water is not crystal blue ahha).

The food is not bad and it cost us only RM139 for 6 adults and 3 kids. No crabs though cos its soldout for lunch.

After that we proceeded to Giant to do grocery shopping and went on to da bao yummy bee hoon from the famous Three storey bee hoon and also herbal duck from duck king near to city square. How to jian fei like this? ahha

Little Library Corner

What did I do with the two shelves and one big plastic container that we bought from JB?

I set up a little library corner for Amanda! (Actually I used one tier for me to put some of my books)

Plently of books for her but she always picked out the same few books ahaha.

We have gone to JB on both weekends before the long weekend (national day)!

Trip 1- 26/07/09

On 26th July 2009, we went to JB with Phyllis and Bruce together with my little sis and mum.

We went for dim sum breakfast (or brunch) cos the dim sum stall only starts selling at 10am. We reached at nearly 11am and some of their hot selling dim sum were already sold out! Its a coffeeshop opposite Pelangi. The dim sum are really nice and cheap. It only cost RM59 for 6 of us!

After that we went to Jusco for some shopping. Major haul for Phyllis and Bruce hee hee. Ohh and also the organic vegetables are so much cheaper than SG!

Trip 2-2/8/09

The following weekend on Sunday, we decided to go into JB again to get the bookshelves that we failed to buy last weekend. This time its only the 3 of us and we went to Giant this time round. We had breakfast at Old Town cafe. The food was so so and I don't like the tea ahha. Maybe its just me.

We bought one shelf to try out first. It was slightly more ex at Giant cos Jusco was having sale. But nevertheless, its still cheap. Only about RM30 for a 3 tier shelf. Also bought a large plastic storage box with wheels which was on promo. Only RM10.90!

Recently, hubby went in to buy one more of the shelf cos we were satisfied with the first one we bought. Strangely, its only RM23 this time round for the exact model. So inconsistent but we are not complaining since we are paying lesser this time round haha.
